After the territory - COLLECTIVE

November 4, 2023 to March 2, 2024 After the Territory Daniel Ruiz / Eme Crispiani / Flor Vallejos / Gi Cassettai / Nahuel Sanchez Tolosa / Sol Romero Ponce Curated by: Laboratorio Intermitente What will happen to our land? What are we doing to our land? Thinking of places as resource zones for art allows for the reflective exercise of observing lived space from experience. Opening oneself to the trance and the impact on these places through artistic creation becomes an intimate and, at the same time, shared process. It is about sharing a concern, a struggle, a discovery. Territories allow us to meditate on the land and everything that surrounds us; therefore, inhabiting them through diverse languages enables frameworks for dialogue and tension regarding the ways in which we move through the world and, at the same time, ask ourselves what will happen to these places in the immediate future. We build, inhabit, and modify the territories that are part of our existence; Pausing to reinterpret them through artistic practices allows us to answer questions, reflect on the transformation of space and our human actions. There, elements of nature appear and materialize: constructed contraptions, strangeness, remnants and discards, animality, traces, gestures of memory—among others—which operate as sensitive elements to glimpse what the space we will leave behind will be like… We find ourselves here, then, before the contradiction of what will come and what we can see and do now. Perceiving the magnitude of the territory from other perspectives demarcates the context for building new thoughts, raising concerns, and ultimately imagining other possible landscapes… Intermittent Laboratory is a laboratory of Contemporary Artistic Practices created and coordinated by Visual Artist, Art Professor, and Manager Nahuel Sanchez Tolosa in the city of Córdoba, Argentina. This project arose inspired by the procedures of mail art during the 2020 pandemic, connecting the practices of different artists in the city who were under isolation. Following its initial impact, Intermitente maintains its experimental format to this day, fostering diverse artistic processes through the very essence of a laboratory. That is, through projects, essays, exercises, and other activities, it promotes encounters between artists and other agents in the cultural sphere to produce knowledge and images that allow for the creation of new images and meanings. For the past two years, Intermitente has participated in group exhibitions in the city of Córdoba and also in other locations at the regional, national, and international levels. Intermitente has a series of publications that can be accessed digitally, offering a selection of graphic productions that document the various processes it has been developing. Last year, it strengthened its collaborative ties with Proyecto Taller Azul, based in Bella Vista and coordinated by visual artist Daniel Ruiz, with whom it has been working specifically on the Accionar Artists' Program. They also begin this 2023 cycle celebrating their connection with visual artist, curator, and gallery owner Pamela González, who is hosting Intermitente this year with a group exhibition at Fulana Galería. The work and participation formats currently active at the Intermitente Lab include: Panorama Project, Drawing Disorientations, Action Program, Essays, Expedition, among others.
